STPA Scholarship Program
The South Texas Press Association is making available two $1,500 Paul Busch Scholarships for academic year 2008-09.
One $1,500 scholarship is for an Upper-Level College Student who is pursuing a career in newspaper journalism. The recipient will receive $750 upon registration for the 2008 fall semester and an additional $750 upon registration for the 2009 spring semester.
Another $1,500 scholarship is for a graduating High School student in the South Texas area who is pursuing a career in newspaper journalism. The recipient will receive $750 upon registration for the 2008 fall semester and an additional $750 upon registration for the 2009 spring semester.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 14, 2008.
The winners will posted on the South Texas Press website after the April 19, 2008 STPA convention.
